Trena Jones' Ranch Style Baked Beans

2 (15 oz.) cans Van Camp's pork and beans
1 (15 oz.) can Bush's dark red kidney beans
1 1/2 lb. ground beef or chuck
1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
1 cup Heinz or Hunt's ketchup
1 cup light brown sugar packed
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons mustard
2 teaspoons white vinegar
1/4 cup Grandma's molasses
dash of garlic salt

Cook ground beef until browned and drain. Mix all ingredients together. Bake in a 9 x 13 pan at 400° for 30 minutes. To save time: Prepare a couple of days early and bake when needed. The leftovers freeze well for a quick dish later.
